I’ve talked before about how obsessed I am with lighting. After architectural layouts, I consider it the most defining factor in a space, the thing that provides function and beauty, that allows everything else in the room to make sense. A light need not simply illuminate things and allow the room to be used as intended; it can be the most beautiful object in a room or at least make the room feel considered, unique and welcoming.
